HydroJet
Massage
North Haven, CT
Fully Clothed · Hands-Free · 30-Minute Session
Warm, rhythmic water pressure moving across your back and legs while your brain runs out of things to worry about. Most clients fall asleep. All of them leave different.
Massage. Without The Massage.
HydroJet is what happens when water pressure does the work a therapist's hands usually do — consistently, rhythmically, and without any of the usual friction around disrobing or touch. Fully clothed, fully passive, fully effective.
Stay Fully Clothed
No disrobing, no draping, no oils, no awkward small talk. You lie down dressed. A waterproof membrane sits between you and the jets — you stay completely dry.
Zero Hands-On Contact
The entire session is hands-free. No therapist contact at any point. Ideal for clients who prefer no touch, feel anxious about bodywork, or simply want a quicker, lower-barrier recovery option.
Full-Body Wave Coverage
Jets travel rhythmically from neck to lower back, glutes, and legs — not a spot treatment. An entire back-body reset in one 30-minute session.
Lie Down. Dial In. Done.
The Sidmar HydroJet Table generates powerful pressurized water jets beneath a sealed, soft waterproof barrier. The jets move in a rhythmic pattern up and down the table — neck to lower back, glutes to legs — while you lie fully clothed on top. You feel the warmth and pressure through the barrier. You never contact the water.
Think of it as a consistent, repeatable deep-tissue experience with zero variability and zero friction. Same pressure, same rhythm, every session.
Sensory Reduction.
Your Nervous System's
Off Switch.
There's a reason float tanks and sensory deprivation therapy have exploded in popularity — when you remove unpredictable external input, the nervous system has nothing left to defend against. It stops bracing. It lets go.
HydroJet creates a similar effect without the tank or the water. The jets deliver consistent, warm, rhythmic pressure — the same pattern, repeating. No surprises. No conversation. No decisions to make. No one touching you. Just warm, predictable waves moving through your body while you lie still in a quiet private room.
Your brain processes it for a few minutes. Then it gets bored. Then it stops. That's when your nervous system shifts from sympathetic — the alert, scanning, fight-or-flight state most people live in all day — into parasympathetic mode. Rest. Recover. Repair.
Most clients are asleep within 10 minutes. The ones who don't fall asleep describe it as the closest thing to sleep they've felt in months.
Float Tank Effect
Similar nervous system response to sensory deprivation therapy — without the enclosed tank or wet water.
Rhythmic Input
Consistent, predictable waves — like white noise for your body. The nervous system stops bracing and starts recovering.
Sympathetic → Parasympathetic
Shifts the body out of fight-or-flight. Heart rate drops. Breathing slows. Muscles unclench.
Theta State
The hypnagogic state between waking and sleep. Where the brain actually repairs, resets, and consolidates.
The Payoff.
Warm water pressure does what hands do — only consistently, without fatigue, and without the need for anyone to touch you. Clients walk out describing their back as "a different back."
"The HydroJet massage was exactly what I needed after my workout. No hands-on contact but all the benefits of deep muscle relaxation."— Michael R., Muscle Therapy Wellness Lounge Client

Questions, Answered.
What is HydroJet massage?
HydroJet massage uses a specialized table with powerful water jets beneath a soft waterproof barrier. You lie fully clothed on the table while warm, pressurized water jets move rhythmically up and down your back, glutes, and legs — simulating a deep massage without any hands-on contact.
Do I have to take my clothes off?
No. You stay fully clothed the entire session. There is a waterproof barrier between you and the water jets, so you will not get wet. No disrobing, no oils, no draping — nothing like that at all.
How long is a HydroJet session?
Sessions run 30 minutes. Enough time for a complete back, glute, and leg cycle. You simply lie down, set your intensity, and let the water work.
Does it hurt?
No. Jet intensity is fully adjustable. The sensation is warm, rhythmic, wave-like pressure that moves through your body in a consistent, predictable pattern. Your brain processes it for a few minutes, then stops fighting it. Most clients are asleep within 10 minutes. The ones who stay awake describe it as the most mentally quiet they've felt all week.
Is it the same as a wet water massage?
No — it is completely dry. The water jets operate beneath a sealed waterproof membrane on the table surface. You feel the pressure and warmth but never contact the water directly.
What does HydroJet help with?
HydroJet supports back tension relief, muscle relaxation, glute and leg recovery, circulation improvement, stress reduction, and nervous system calm. The warm rhythmic pressure is especially effective for the mid and lower back, which is one of the hardest areas to decompress.
How often should I come?
2 to 3 times per week for active recovery. Once a week for general maintenance. It can also be used daily — there is no recovery time needed after a session.
Why do most people fall asleep on the HydroJet table?
The HydroJet creates a sensory-reduced environment similar in effect to float therapy. Warm, consistent, rhythmic input with no conversation, no decisions, no hands on your body, and no surprises. Your nervous system runs out of things to defend against and shifts from sympathetic (alert, scanning) into parasympathetic (rest, recover, repair). Most clients hit a theta-state — the brain wave between waking and sleep — within the first 10 minutes. It is one of the deepest passive nervous system resets most people experience outside of actual sleep.
